Fifty years ago my daughter Larissa was born. Since that day I have not seen her for more than 20 hours in my entire life.
Recently I re-visited my memories, trying to determine the precise reasons why – to understand the story from a new perspective – by recalling the exact details of what happened – and putting Kate into the family and setting she came from – to see if there were things I had missed, or misunderstood, or was blind to, or ignoring – to see if I and everyone else had misunderstood, or mis-told this story all these years.
